Yusuf Abdullahi, President Bola Tinubu’s nominee for Minister of State for Housing has promised to focus on providing affordable housing for Nigerians.

During his screening by the Senate on Tuesday, he highlighted his experience in state governance, expressing his commitment to replicate successful policies that have previously delivered affordable housing to the public.

The nominee, who hails from Kano State, also promised to review the housing ministry’s policies to ensure they facilitate access to housing for all.

Ata is a former Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and currently serves as the Commissioner at the Public Complaints Commission.

They pointed out that he was recently confirmed as Commissioner for the Public Complaints Commission by the Senate.

After responding to questions from Senate President Godswill Akpabio about his plans for affordable housing, Ata was told to ‘take a bow’, an indication of the lawmakers’ satisfaction with his submissions.
