Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday, offering prayers for good health and long life as he continues efforts to steer Nigeria toward greater prosperity.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau expressed confidence that Nigerians will renew the President’s mandate in the 2027 general election, citing ongoing reforms and infrastructure drive as key to national development.

He described the president as a committed and forward-looking leader, noting that over the past 34 months, Tinubu has worked steadily to reposition the country for the benefit of both present and future generations.

Barau also voiced strong optimism about the 2027 presidential poll, stating that Nigerians would turn out in large numbers to support the president at the ballot.

Looking ahead, he added that by this time next year, as President Tinubu marks his 75th birthday, he expects him to already be President-elect for a second term, describing such a victory as a fitting prelude to the celebration.

He called on Nigerians to continue praying for the nation and to support the administration, stressing that the president remains committed to the country’s best interests.

The Deputy Senate President, who also serves as First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, reaffirmed the backing of the National Assembly, assuring that lawmakers will continue to work with the President to address national challenges and deliver progress for Nigerians.

President Tinubu, born March 29, 1952, marks his 74th birthday on Sunday.
