Following his reappointment back as Chairman of Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board, CRSUBEB by Governor Ben Ayade, the immediate past Senator representing Cross River Northern Senatorial District, Stephen Odey has been sworn in.
Governor Ayade had announced the reappointment of Odey back to his former office before he left for the Senate.
The new SUBEB Chairman pledged to use his experience to achieve effective service delivery, promising to discharge his duties without compromising standards.

Odey assured Governor Ayade of improving the basic education sub-sector in Cross River State.
Earlier the Commissioner for Education,Godwin Amanke who performed the swearing in onbehalf of Governor Ayade expressed confidence in the capacity and capability of Senator Odey, giving his performance in the office before he left for Abuja.
The appointment and swearing in of Senator Odey has raised Discussion in some quotas on why a former senator will accept to work as Chairman in a state agency supervising by a commissioner.
