A seven-story building under construction collapsed on Wednesday at the high-brow area of Banana Island in Ikoyi, Lagos state
According to the preliminary report from the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, the building is located on first avenue of Banana Island. Some construction workers at the building were said to have been trapped under the rubbles as others were said to have jumped from the top floors.

Some kids playing around the area when the building collapsed were unhurt as they narrowly escaped.
As of the time of filling this report, emergency responders are on their way to the scene of the incident.
