Sharia Law Enforcers Hisbah, Nigeria Police Raid Rehabilitation Centre in Bauchi, Rescue 15 Inmates

A joint Operation Team of Nigeria Police and the Sharia moral conduct Police,Hisbah (Bauchi Command) has raided a Rehabilitation center in Bauchi, Rescued Fifteen inmates and arrested the owner of the centre.

According to the Permanent Commissioner of Hisbah, Aminu Balarabe, the raid of malam Kawu private Rehabilitation centre along Yakubu wanka street in Bauchi was said to have been initiated by Bauchi Hisbah.

Balarabe said the action was carried out following a report received from the public over immoral activities and Illegal accommodation of Foreigners in the state which was seen as a threat to the Security of the State.

Malam kawu is being accused of illegal accommodation of foreigners from Five countries which according to them are seen as a threat to National security.

One of the Rescued victims who preferred to remain anonymous confirmed the incidents, shortly after being rescued at the Bauchi police Headquarters.

According to him, “My parents brought me here for Rehabilitation, but I ended up being used by different men. My mother later secured a police job for me and I was tested with HIV positive which I contacted here”

The Spokesperson of the Bauchi police command Ahmed Wakili, admits that the suspect has been arrested and investigation was ongoing.

The fifteen Rescued Inmates from the centre according to the Hisbah permanent commissioner, are still undergoing medical Examinations as some of them have already been diagnosed with various ailments.
