Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, has advised the Nigerian government to pay whatever price is required to secure the release of the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna bound train attack.
Gumi advised while speaking to journalists in Kaduna during an interfaith prayer session for the victims.

Gumi who prayed for the safe return of the victims noted that government should not have proscribed and labelled the bandits as terrorists.
He added that banditry remains a socioeconomic problem that cannot be solved through military operations.
