The Kaduna State government has reaffirmed its commitment to improve the lives of the less privileged and underserved, with a focus on advancing social protection.
Governor Uba Sani gave the assurance during the state’s first-ever Social Protection Summit.
The summit, themed, “Rethinking Social Protection, Targeting Systems: Financial Inclusion and Social Register as the Foundation,” serves as a platform for dialogue among stakeholders, to discuss effective social protection strategies.
The aim is to generate actionable recommendations, that will enhance social protection in Kaduna State.
Speakers at the summit highlighted that the future of social protection in Kaduna State, revolves around innovation, inclusion, and impact.

They stressed the need to develop a system that goes beyond being a mere safety net, transforming into a springboard for economic independence and social mobility.

The summit emphasized the importance of empowering individuals, to thrive through social protection, not just to survive, but underscored the need for collective effort, to build a better future for all citizens.
