Sokoto Governor Tambuwal, Sultan Abubakar, sympathize with Zamfara, over 317 girls abduction

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State and the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, had paid a visit to Zamfara State, to sympathize with the government, over the abduction of the 317 school girls at Jangebe in Talata Marafa Local Government Area.

Governor Tambuwal described the abduction as unfortunate, and prayed for the safe return of the girls.

The Sokoto State Governor, noted that despite the kinetic and none kinetic methods introduced to broker peace, the enemies of Nigeria are not relenting in their efforts, to destabilize the country.

He called on the leaders, to redouble their efforts, and devise means of checkmating the trends of abduction in the north in particular, and Nigeria in general.

Tambuwal said, their hearts are with the abducted schoolgirls, their families and the Zamfara State government, over the unpleasant development.

The abduction of over three hundred girls from the Government Girls School, Jangebe by the bandits, was coming few hours, after the northern Governors and traditional rulers in the region, met with the Chief of Staff to the president, Professor Ibrahim Gambari in Kaduna.
