Following the recent murder of 11 soldiers and their captain in Bonta village of Benue State, the minister of Defence Bashir Magashi has led a high-powered armed forces delegation made up of all the security chiefs to the State.

Magashi expressed the Nigerian Armed Forces disappointment over the killing but says it will not relent in its duty of protecting lives of the people.

The Minister of Defence who equally expressed the President’s displeasure over the killing of soldiers, said barbarism and anything that tries to make Nigeria ungovernable would not be accepted.

He stated that for the morale of the soldiers to be restored, perpetrators of the dastardly act must be apprehended and made to face the wrath of the law, pointing out that they were also in the state to restore confidence in the troops.
