Solskjaer blames poor officiating for Manchester United loss

Manchester United Manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken a swipe at the referee that officiated their league match against bottom-placed Sheffield United at Old Trafford

Solskjaer says there were lots of irregularities and questionable calls made by the referee which not only contributed to his team’s defeat but brought disrepute to the game

Manchester United saw their Premier league title hopes take a mighty blow on Wednesday after a shock 2-1 defeat by the Blades

The Chris Wilders men were written off but managed to infict a first loss on United since their 1-0 beating from Arsenal in November 2020

Manchester city now have the chance to extend their lead over Solskjaer’s men by four points if they win their game at hand

Solskjaer made six changes to the team that won against Liverpool on the FA Cup and this led to a disjointed performance against the bottom placed team in the premier league

Solskjaer was unhappy with the referee, though after a number of decisions went against the Red Devil’s
Anthony Martial had a goal ruled out after Maguire was adjudged to have fouled Aaron Ramsdale but Solskjaer believes Bryan should have had his goal disallowed too for a similar reason

Solskjaer says with this inconsistency in Officiating the outcome of the league will be unpredictable

This is Manchester United’s first defeat I’m the premier league since November but Solskjaer was unhappy with the manner of their loss
