Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has signed the 2026 Appropriation bill of 766 Billion Naira into law, marking a new fiscal year for the State.

The budget represents an upward increase to the initial proposal of 757 Billion Naira submitted to the Anambra State House of Assembly by the Governor.

Governor Soludo while signing the law noted that the slight increase followed careful review and various amendments by members of the Anambra State House of Assembly during the budget defence process.

The Anambra State Governor is upbeat that with the budget now signed into law, the year 2026 holds impactful progress for the people of Anambra State.

While commending the State lawmakers for what he described as their swift and timely budget review process, he urged Anambra Citizens to support government’s polices and programme for overall development of the State.

Governor Soludo had on 25th November, 2025 presented the 2026 budget estimate of 757 billion Naira, tagged “Changing Gears 3.0, Solution Continues,” to the Anambra State House of Assembly.
