Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo in a decisive move to ensure compliance with the directive to end Mondays sit-at-home, on Monday paid unscheduled monitoring visits to ten schools in his home community, Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area of the State.

Governor Soludo, at both Government owned missionary and other private schools underscores his administration’s zero tolerance for the protracted sit-at-home action ordered by the outlawed separatist group, IPOB, and his determination to restore normalcy to the states academic calendar.

At the separate schools, there were appreciable number of pupils, students and teachers seen undergoing their routine class sessions.

A visibly impressed Governor
Soludo again highlighted the negative academic and economic impact of the over five years stit-at-home action on Anambra State.

Governor Soludo says the State can not have two academic calendars, affirming what he described as a complete circuit of ending sit-at-home activities, with a full return of usual Monday routines in Anambra State.

The monitoring and inspection of facilities at schools in the Governor’s home community of Isuofia, came with goodies of immediate approval of reconstruction and remodeling of structures and requirements of some of the schools.
