Some minority lawmakers in the 10th Senate have kicked against the New minority principal officers of the 10th Senate.

One of the lawmakers Senator Garba Musa representing Kebbi south while reacting to the new appointments lamented that the process and methodology that led to the Emergence of
Simon Mwadkwo as minority leader is fraudulent.

Garba stated that all meetings held with the minority caucus never had the appointment of principal officers on the agenda.

He added that he is disappointed to hear that thirty-six persons signed and chose on behalf of the minority parties as he was not consulted to air his opinion on the matter

He stated that though the minorities have not had their say, he will not fight the party but the truth must be stated

The lawmaker wondered how new senators without experience were chosen in place of ranking lawmakers that have served in the parliament for over a decade.

Another lawmaker senator Aliyu Wadada (SDP Nassarawa West)stated that the position of deputy Minority whip should have gone to another zone

He added that the appointed senator for the position Rafai Hanga is from Kano state same geo-political zone as the Deputy Senate President of the senate, Barau Jibrin.

He however congratulated the new leadership.
