The Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association, DEPOWA, has expressed deep gratitude to Nigerian soldiers wounded in the line of duty.

DEPOWA President, Ogogho Musa, who led a delegation to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna, extended a message of hope and solidarity, assuring the wounded of continued support.

It was an emotional and heartfelt moment as DEPOWA President, Ogogho Musa, interacted with soldiers recovering from injuries sustained in the course of defending the country.

She commended their bravery and resilience, assuring them that their sacrifices are not in vain as DEPOWA is ready to offer any assistance necessary to support the recovery and well-being of the wounded soldiers.

Acting Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Brigadier-General Godwin Ogoh, revealed that some of the soldiers are dealing with critical injuries, including spinal cord damage.

He emphasised the hospital’s commitment to providing them with comprehensive medical care and rehabilitation.

The visit is part of DEPOWA’s broader efforts to boost the morale of military personnel and reinforce the message that the country stands firmly behind its heroes.
