South African rapper A.K.A killed in Durban

Late South African rapper, Kiernan Forbes known by stage name A.K.A

The death of the award winning South African rapper, Kiernan Forbes known by the stage name A.K.A has been confirmed by the police in Durban.

The 35-years old Kiernan was killed in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night, February 10, 2023. He was reportedly standing outside the Wish Restaurant when some unknown persons opened fire on him.

Another person believed to be the rapper’s bodyguard, was wounded, while an unidentified person, said to be a close friend of A.K.A, was also killed.

The rapper who was due to perform at a Durban night club, YUGO as part of activities to mark his birthday was born on January 28, 1988 in Cape Town.
