The South-East Governors Forum has ended its meeting in Enugu State with a call on security agencies and vigilante groups in the region to enforce the ban on open grazing in the zone.
Addressing journalists after hours of closed-door meeting with other stakeholders, Chairman of the Forum and Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi declared their commitment to ensure enforcement of the ban on open grazing.

The South-East leaders also approved adoption of Ebubeagu as the joint security outfit with it regional headquarters in Enugu.
Governor Umahi also stated the position of the Forum on restructuring of the country.
The Forum directed the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Ambassador George Obiozor to constitute a South-East Peace Reconciliation Committee to engage the people of the zone for peace and security of everyone.
The South-East regional leaders condemned the recent attacks in Imo State and urged the Federal Government to arrest the perpetrators. Those at the meeting include religious and political leaders as well as traditional rulers.
