The South East Zone, professional body for Broadcast media practitioners in the country, the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters, SNB was Tuesday, launched in Enugu, South East Nigeria.
At the ceremony, the Executive Secretary, Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria, BON, Yemisi Bamgbose, explains that the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters is the first professional body in the broadcast industry in the country.
Bamgbose notes that the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters, SNB will function as other professional bodies in the country for the interest of its members.

The Executive Secretary of BON, who spoke extensively on the importance of the body, called on those concerned in the broadcast industry to embrace the initiative.
Heads of broadcast media organisations in the zone who spoke at the event include; the South East Region Coordinator, DAAR Communications Plc, Ken Eseni; immediate past Chairman of BON, South East zone, Okechukwu Igbonekwu; Managing Director of Enugu State Broadcasting Service, ESBS, Chukwuma Ogbonna and his Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, counterpart, Uche Nwaorah, among others.
