The South South Elders Forum has condemned the invasion of the Abuja home of Supreme Court Justice Mary Odili and her husband, former Governor of Rivers State Peter Odili.

A press statement signed by the National Co-ordinator of the South South Elders Forum, High Chief Anabs Sara-Igbe and made available to ait.live in Port Harcourt, says the Executive arm of Government lacks the moral right to intimidate and bully the other arms of government in the name of fighting corruption when it has not been able to purge itself of the act.

Citing the humiliation of the former Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen out of office in 2019, High Chief Sara-Igbe says the harassment of Justice Mary Odili, the second highest ranking judiciary officer of the supreme Court of Nigeria was the second instance of the ill treatment that are being meted to leaders of the Niger Delta Region and South South Nigeria.

He therefore warned that the President Mohammadu Buhari-led Federal Government should desist from actions that will slide the country into anarchy, disunity and disintegration.
