The Ogun State Security Network Agency, also known as the Amotekun Corps, has been strengthened with 16 operational vehicles donated by the Ogun State Government.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by his Chief of Staff, Toyin Taiwo, who announced the donation of the vehicles emphasized the state government’s commitment to a well equipped corps to combat crime in the state.
The donation of the operational vehicles is to help strengthen security in the state according to the state government following concerns raised early in the year by oyo state governor, seyi makinde that the southwest is being infiltrated by bandits.

The ogun state Amotekun corps on its part says Plans are underway to recruit additional 500 personnel to join forces with other southwest states to combat bandits and other criminals in the region.
The state government also noted that it will continue to work and partner other states in the region to ensure that a clear cut regional template is created to protect lives and property across all southwest states.
