The Forum of Southern Kaduna Professors has commended the efforts of the Nigerian military, and other security agencies, in restoring relative peace to Southern Kaduna and other parts of the country.
They also called on the government to sustain and strengthen security interventions across Nigeria.
The President of the Forum, Professor John La’ah, gave the commendation during a news conference in Kaduna on the current state of the nation.
He acknowledged the federal government’s establishment of three military formations in Southern Kaduna, describing it as a significant step, towards improving security in the area.
According to the forum, the increased federal presence is not only enhancing peace, but also stimulating economic activities, and creating job opportunities across the region.
Reaffirming their support for both the federal and state governments, the forum pledged continued collaboration with relevant authorities and stakeholders, to build trust, promote lasting peace, and support progress in Kaduna State, and across Nigeria.
