Tudun Biri community in Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria is still in shock and in a sombre mood after 85 innocent civilians were killed in a drone bomb which the Nigerian Army has admitted responsibility, saying it was an error.

The serene village of Tudun Biri was experiencing the joyous sounds of Eid-El Maluad celebrations when it was suddenly interrupted with a loud explosion. The explosion turned out to be a drone bomb which claimed the lives of 85 innocent villagers, including women and children
The Nigerian Army, while admitting its error in the deadly bombing says the target were terrorists. Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Taoreed Lagbaja visits the bereaved community, to commiserate and offer unreserved apologies.

The despair in the village is quite apparent as grief takes over the once vibrant community. Survivors grapple with the aftermath, with Barau Dikko Hospital becoming displaced persons camp for those fortunate enough to have escaped the bombing. The village head tells us the military must take full responsibility including shouldering the burden of medical bills of surviving victims.
The Army Chief promises help for surviving families in the aftermath of the devastating incident as Tudun Biri Village stands united, not only in grief but in the pursuit of justice and healing. While the echoes of Malaud celebrations may have been silenced, the resilient spirit of the community lingers as they strive to rebuild their lives after an unimaginable tragedy.
