Special security task force ‘Operation Safe Haven’ has arrested 15 persons in connection with the attacks on Ari doh village of Riyom local government area in Plateau state.
The commander of the task force Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar made this known while in audience with the heads of church denominations In the state.
Major General Abubakar said while the attacks regrettably resulted in the loss of lives, the special task force swung into action after a distress call was made, leading to the arrest of some of the assilants
He cautioned against the dissemination of unverified information which can lead to further tension
Leader of the delegation and president of the Church of Christ in Nations COCIN Rev Amos Monzo appreciated the efforts of the army and other security agencies for the relative peace enjoyed but said more can be done.
The church leaders assured the military of the cooperation of their followers and other Christians in lasting peace to the state.
