As the Super Falcons gear up for the crucial second leg of their Olympic qualifying match against South Africa’s Bayana Bayana, the Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh has rallied behind the team, urging them to break the 16-year jinx that has kept Nigeria out of the Olympic Games Female Football event.

Having missed out on the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic Games, Senator Enoh urged Super Falcons to be determined to reclaim its spot on the international stage.

With a 1-0 lead from the first leg held in Abuja, the Super Falcons carry the hopes and dreams of a nation as they head into the decisive match in South Africa.

Senator John Owan Enoh, speaking ahead of the match, emphasized the importance of self-belief and resilience in achieving victory. He stated, “The Super Falcons have shown remarkable strength and prowess throughout their journey, and now is the time for them to rise and conquer. We believe in their ability to overcome any challenge and make Nigeria proud.”

Encouraging the team to soar to new heights, Senator Enoh added, “Breaking the 16-year Olympic jinx is not just a goal; it will be a perfect microcosm of the dedication and abilities of our athletes. I urge the Super Falcons to play with passion, determination, and unity. Together, we can rewrite history and inspire generations to come.”

“As they step onto the pitch in South Africa, the Super Falcons carry the hopes and aspirations of millions of Nigerians. We stand with them every step of the way, providing the support they need to succeed.”

In conclusion, Senator John Owan Enoh called on all Nigerians to rally behind the Super Falcons, saying, “Let us unite as a nation to cheer on our heroes. With our support and their relentless spirit, there is no limit to what the Super Falcons can achieve. Together, let’s make history!”
