In a bid to achieve a drug-free campus, over five hundred students have been engaged on the dangers of drug abuse and its long-term impact on their future, with experts offering practical strategies for prevention and healthy living.
Discussants at an event in Osogbo, the Osun state capital, lauded ongoing efforts by the Nigerian, drug law enforcement agency NDLEA and called for a more intense approach.
The fight against drug abuse does not seem to end soon, the National drug law enforcement agency NDLEA reveals that 40% of Nigerian youths are deeply involved in the abuse of drugs nationwide.

Hundreds of Students gathered to participate in a summit targeted at eradicating drug abuse among students and Nigerian youths, as stakeholders suggest a multi-dimensional approach that will address both the seller and consumer of the illicit drugs.
The organizers say over three hundred students have been prepared with extra curricular training and scholarship to disengage them from bad influences and drug abuse.
The program themed , driving leadership, building legacy and moving the future according to organisers is just another platform to reposition youths for a brighter future.
