Nigeria State Governors have commended President Tinubu for showing quality leadership by extending appointment opportunities across party line to the state executives.
President Tinubu had asked the 36 state Governors to nominate competent persons from their fold for appointment into board of parastatals.
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum in a communique after its meeting said it has resolved to commend the President for his benevolence.
The meeting of the Governors also arrived at a comprehensive response to the incidence of flooding across the country as recommended by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.

Part of the recommendation is to set up functional State and Local Government Emergency Committee and Foster policy alignment and community engagement for Disaster Risk reduction.
The forum also received the Deputy-Secretary General of the United Nations Amina Mohammed with UN Messenger of Peace and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Malala Yousafzai.
Yousfazai expressed her desire to see efforts at addressing gender discrimination, gender inclusion, and girl-child education sustained and deepened.
