Kogi State Government has constituted a committee to investigate and address all boundary issues within and outside the state that will facilitate lasting peace between its citizens and their neighbors.
Inaugurating the committee, to be chaired by the state Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja, Governor Yahaya Bello said boundary disputes have caused series ofl crises which his administration has prevented over the years.
He said the National Boundary Act 2016 as amended, empowers state governments to constitute boundary committees to help resolve boundary related issues.

The Governor also said that on assumption of office, his administration was confronted with a myriad of boundary related issues a number of which he was able to resolve.
Governor Bello expressed confidence in the ability of the Edward Onoja led committee will to find a lasting solution to most outstanding issues with Border States.
Deputy Governor Onoja expressed the same optimism especially with the financial and logistics resources made available to the committee
Kogi state is bordered by nine states and the Federal Capital Territory, the highest number of shared boundaries in Nigeria,
