Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid a private visit to the former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, at his hilltop residence in Minna, Niger state capital.
The former president was said to have spent about 30 minutes in a closed-door meeting with General Babangida before he left for the airport.
The visit, according to the sources privy to the visit, is not unconnected with national issues on the political situation in the country and the 2027 general elections in the country.
Although no official statement has been issued to that effect by both leaders as of the time of filing this report.
It was gathered that Obasanjo was accompanied from the Ahmed Bola Tinubu International Airport, Minna, by the Government House protocol to the elder statesman’s residence.
Recall that Obasanjo received some opposition political party bigwigs recently at his hometown in Abeokuta.
