The Commander of the Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven, Major General Ibrahim Ali, has inaugurated a 36 man committee to address insecurity in Jos-North, Jos-South, and Bassa Local Government Areas of Plateau State.
Major General Ali inaugurated the committee after engaging various community members in a bid to finding a lasting solution to the crises that have been rocking some Local Government Areas in the state.
The commander charged members of the committee to look at recommendations of other similar committees in order to come up with a harmonized position.
Chairman of the committee, Robert Ashi, while assuring of the commitment of members solicited the full support of the Taskforce to enable them perform their assignment.

Some observers present were optimistic of the committee’s ability to deliver on their mandate so that the wanton attacks and killings coupled with destruction of farmland and properties will be a thing of the past in Plateau State.
The committee has 2 weeks to complete it’s task and it is hoped that their submission will be a template for peace in the troubled communities of Plateau state.
