After 13 hours of talks and following the inability of both the Federal Government and striking Association of resident doctors to arrive at an agreement, the meeting has been adjourned for 8 hours.
Although Both the Government team and the striking doctors left exhausted, without any comment, the Deputy Director press in the ministry of Labour, Charles Akpan confirmed to journalists who have kept vigil, that the meeting is to reconvene on Saturday morning.
He said Due to the late conclusion of the meeting, it has been adjourned for 10 am Saturday for the presentation and signing of MOU and for NMA and NARD to brief the media on the status of the strike.

The National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, has been on strike for three weeks, precisely 21 days, demanding among other things payment of owed salaries and resolving agreed areas in the residency training program.
