As Nigerians continue to grapple with excruciating pains due to the removal of fuel subsidy, the Director General of Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Issa Aremu says citizens are in dire need of palliatives not just the conditional cash transfer but others like functional transportation.

Aremu gave his opinion at an event to mark the 2023 World Youth Skills Day in Ilorin the Kwara State capital where he urged the youths to embrace digital technology innovation in creating wealth and job opportunities.

While giving reasons for palliatives in all sectors at this critical period of Nation building, Director General of MNILS, Issa Aremu says organized labour must engage government to ensure that palliatives get to the right hands and public transportation must be functional to cushion the hardship.

Aremu also challenged Nigerian youths to embrace skills in the digital education sector to boost their capacity for self-reliance.
