The Protest March by the Nigeria Labour Congress against the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government was held in Taraba on Wednesday amidst fears of being hijacked by hoodlums to vandalise warehouses.
The march terminated at the Government House in Jalingo, with Governor Agbu Kefas announcing plans to roll out palliative measures for citizens in a few days.

Workers in Taraba State, led by labour leaders, joined their counterparts nationwide in the protest march against the removal of fuel Subsidy by Nigeria’s Federal Government.
The protest march was done under the cover of security operatives, as there were reports of plans by hoodlums to hijack the march and vandalise warehouses in Jalingo.
The march was undertaken by the workers to Government House, with the Labour leaders saying they are not sure that Nigeria’s Government will use the removed subsidy for ventures that will benefit the average Nigerian.
They also commended the Taraba State Governor for making education affordable and free in the state.
Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas addressed the protesting workers, where he announced that the State Government will roll out palliative measures for citizens in the days to come.
He also assured Taraba workers that their entitlements would be given to them.
Governor Kefas also promised to sit at the round table with Taraba workers to dialogue on their concerns and welfare.
