Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa says over 7,000 Nationals, including Nigerians are stranded along the Sudan-Egypt border.
She said the affected person’s, fleeing the crisis-hit country have not been allowed to cross the border into Egypt since their arrival late Thursday.
She called on those concerned with the movement of persons and services along contiguous borders of Sudan to create humane conditions to enable the stranded persons get to their various destinations.
Dabiri-Erewa also said the Nigerian mission in Egypt has been trying to solve the problem, but the Egyptian authorities are insisting on visas before allowing the transiting Africans to cross the border from Sudan.

She appealed to the Egyptian authorities to allow the already traumatized individuals to transit to their various countries
