Sultan Of Sokoto Counsels Muslims On Sound Knowledge Of Other Faiths For Peaceful Co-existence

The Sultan of Sokoto and the President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Saad Abubakar has advised Muslims to seek sound knowledge of the tenets of other faiths to enable them to cohabit peacefully with other people of different religious persuasions.

The Paramount Traditional ruler and other speakers gave the advise at the 10th Annual Usman Dan Fodiyo Lecture Series in Ilorin the Kwara State capital under the theme: “The Concept of God in Major World Religions”.

The Sultan of Sokoto and the President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Saad Abubakar and other speakers in their separate speeches on the theme, “The concept of God in major world religions” called on adherents of Islamic religion to seek sound knowledge about people of other faiths with a view to ensuring peaceful co-existence in the country and beyond.

The Sultan said the purpose of the annual Usman Dan Fodiyo lecture is to encourage Muslims acquire sound knowledge and share such to strengthen Islam.
