The super eagles of Nigeria have departed for Abidjan for their match day four 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin Republic.
A team of 23 players , the coaching crew, some board members and the media flew out of Nigeria from the Victor Attah International Airport Uyo.
The choice of Abidjan for the match against Benin Republic followed the inability of Benin to provide a facility that can accommodate a high profile match of this nature.
The Super Eagles will be going into the match day four sitting fifth on the group C log with three points from three matches , a feat which has been described as not too good.
However some will say the qualification race is still long as there are seven more matches to play.
The Sunday match will be played on Sunday at five pm Nigerian time.
