Nigeria’s Super Eagles have remained Stagnant in the monthly FIFA rankings released for September.

The latest ranking was announced on Thursday few days after the recent international window when various countries in Africa played in 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

According to the ranking by the World Soccer governing body, FIFA, Super Eagles are placed in 39th position in the World and 6th in Africa

The three-time African champions defeated the Cheetah of Benin 3-0 and picked a 0-0 draw against the Amavubi of Rwanda in the qualifiers.

The four points recorded in the last 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier added little for Nigeria’s Super Eagles as they remained unmoved in the latest FIFA rankings.

The Nigerian team will have another opportunity to improve their ranking when the qualifier in October takes place.

Nigeria are scheduled to face Libya in a two-legged qualifiers fixtures in October, 2024.
