Super TV CEO Murder: Man Says Chidinma sold Late Ataga’s Laptop for 495,000 Naira

The ongoing trial of the alleged murder charge against the prime suspect Chidinma Ojukwu and two others resumed before Justice Yetunde Adesanya as the third prosecution witness, Ifeoluwa Oluwo Thursday took the centre stage.

Oluwo, a computer and handset dealer at the computer village, Ikeja Lagos was led in evidence by the prosecution team.

He identified Chidinma as a customer who earlier made a purchase of a phone at their office on April 30th 2021, and later returned on June 18th 2021, when she offered the sale of a MacBook Pro valued at $1,200 which he negotiated for N495,000 after market value comparison and due diligence to determine the authenticity of the seller by demanding from her an Identification card, license,passport among others.

Oluwo explained that having been convinced that the deal was authentic, he transferred the agreed amount from his UBA account to Chidinma’s Sterling bank account only after the forms were filled and the documents kept in their office as a valid sale.

Few days later, the police he explained invited his manager Eyitayo Abayomi to the Special Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti Yaba Lagos where he joined his boss at the station only to discover that the invite was in respect to the purchase of the laptop from Chidinma who was linked with the alleged murder of the CEO of Super TV, Usifo Ataga.

The case was later adjourned to Monday, 29th December 2021.
