A suspected supplier of vehicles to terrorists operating in Katsina and neighbouring states has been arrested in a car deal of 2.5 million Naira involving a man on the Police’s terror watch list.
Katsina State Police Command spokesperson Gambo Isah, who gave the name of the suspect as Ibrahim Abdulrasheed, said he supplied a Hilux van to one Jamilu Buzaru, a wanted terrorist on the police list.
According to Isah, investigations by the police revealed that the Hilux van was purchased to further the activities of terrorists in the state, especially in Safana, Danmusa and Dutsinma, three of the 11 designated Frontline Local Government Areas.

The suspect employed the services of his neighbour, which led to their arrests, after delivering the vehicle to Jamilu Buzaru.

The police also said it arrested 3 persons from Sabuwa local government area, suspected of supplying terrorists with information.
The trio are said to specialized in informing terrorists into the town and helping them identify wealthy individuals for possible abduction for ransom.

The trio did not deny their involvement while the police say investigation into their activities ongoing.
