Some members of the People’s Democratic Party and top Government officials in Bayelsa State say the victory of Governor Douye Diri at the Supreme Court is a clear demonstration of God’s hand on the present administration in the state.
They stated this at a thanksgiving service in at the Kings of Glory Chapel Government house,Yenagoa shortly after the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal by Ndutimi Alaibe against the Candidature of Governor Douye Diri in last year’s November Governorship poll in the state.
Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and the Governor’s wife, Gloria Diri were among the dignitaries at the thanksgiving service.
Ewhrudjakpo urged Bayelsians to eschew all forms of acrimony, unite for the progress and stability of the state.
He also described the victory as a new dawn for greater manifestations of plans and policies of the present administration.
