The Kogi State Government has condemned the unwarranted attack on candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka moments after the determination of the electoral litigations involving the Governors of Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa States at the Supreme Court complex in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, the State Governor, Usman Ododo, described the conduct of the hoodlums as barbaric, uncivilised and a grave danger to the institution of justice.

Governor Ododo urged Nigerians from all walks of life to eschew bitterness, play politics with a human face and desist from resorting to self help.

Governor Ododo noted that his administration implores law enforcement agencies to fish out the perpetrators and make them face the full wrath of the law to serve as a deterrent to others as well as protect the integrity and safety of the court environments across the country.

The statement urged citizens to support the path of constitutionalism and unity which are the core values of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. The Ododo administration also pledged its support for the lofty policies and values of the Federal Government for the progress and development of the country.
