Unknown gunmen on Wednesday night, 31 March, attacked the residence of former Nigeria’s Sports Minister, Damishi Sango, in Plateau State, North Central Nigeria.
The attack occured at about 9:45pm in Sango’s home village Danwal, Ganawuri, few kilometers to the National institute for Policy And Strategic Studies Kuru.
The Gunmen stormed the house in a guerilla style, shooting sporadically and shot two Policemen attached to the former Minister and a civilian steward and their rifles were carted away by the Gunmen.
The former Minister who confirmed the development himself to ait.llive said he was not hurt, but one of the injured Policemen died shortly after they were rushed to the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH.

The Plateau State Police Commissioner Edward Egbuka who visited the scene of the incident said a combined team of detectives & intelligence officers have already commenced investigation and manhunt for the criminals.
