Suspected IPOB members kill 3 Policemen

Three policemen attached to Okpanam Divisional Police Station in Oshimili north local government area of Delta State have been murdered by some suspected members of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, Sunday morning.

According to local sources, the policemen who were in their usual patrol vehicle, were attacked by suspected IPOB members who opened fire on them, killing three, leaving one in critical condition and carting away their AK 47 riffles.

The deceased officers who have been identified are, ASP Eke Fransis, NPRS Joshua Akengbo and CPL Perekedo Uweme.

While APS Bassey Wisdom is receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.

At the time of this report, the state Police command is yet to issue any statement nor react to the unfortunate incident.

Meanwhile the lifeless bodies of the policemen have been deposited at the Okpanam specialist hospital morgue.
