Suspected Terrorists have reportedly kidnapped a former commandant of the Zamfara State Road Traffic Regulatory Agency, ZAROTA, Colonel Rabi’u Garba retired and two of his children along the Gusau-Tsafe road in Zamfara state, Northwest Nigeria.
A resident of the troubled Community explained that Garba was returning to his country home, Yandoto with two of his children on Sunday, 1st January 2023 in the night when the Terrorists kidnapped them to the forest.
According to locals in the area, “we heard gunshots and started running into the bush for fear of the Terrorists but we later discovered that Colonel Rabius Garba retired was their target, and they whisked him and two of his children away”
The Police confirmed the incident and said they have mobilized tactical operatives who are currently carrying out rigorous rescue operations in the surrounding bush to ensure the rescue of the three kidnapped victims unhurt from the hands of the Terrorists.
