Sustainable livelihood: President Tinubu’s Wife empowers 500 Kogi Women

A total of 500 women in Kogi State have been empowered by President Tinubu’s wife, Oluremi Tinubu through the Office of Sustainable Development Goals, to enable them have financial independence and sustainable livelihood.

During the distribution of the items in Lokoja, Mrs Tinubu said the empowerment programme is in line with the renewed hope agenda of the present administration.

In her message to the gathering, the First Lady explained that the federal government is strengthening the capacity of women to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to inclusive national development.

Senior Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Sustainable Development Goals, Adejoke Adefulire assured the women that the Renewed Hope Initiative will continue to serve as a beacon of empowerment and economic transformation, aligning seamlessly with the administration’s national development priorities.

The beneficiaries promised not to sell the items given to them but to put them to good use for their personal and societal development.

The items distributed to the women include gas cookers, rice grinding machines, power generating sets and refrigerators.

The exercise was done simultaneously across the North Central States, including the Federal Capital Territory.
