It was around this time in 2021 that the news of the death of Sylvester Oromoni Junior a JSS two student of Dowen College Lekki Lagos who died in controversial circumstances broke out.
One year after, the father of the deceased Sylvester Oromoni senior who addressed a press conference in Asaba Delta state capital expressed displeasure at the long duration of the coroner inquest into the death of their son and threatened to seek other legal options if the inquest is not concluded before the end of this year 2022.
It was exactly on the 30th of November 2021 that the media was inundated with the story of Sylvester Oromoni junior who allegedly died as a result of bullying, assault, negligence and administration of a poisonous substance while in school.

The Lagos state government shut down the school and a coroner inquest was ordered on the 21st of January 2022 to unravel the cause of Sylvester’s death at the then Magistrate Court in Epe, Lagos.
Oromoni accused the then Lagos Commissioner of Police of complicity despite overwhelming evidence within his disposal.
Oromoni who cried out to the Honourable coroner to urgently conclude the inquest accused DOWEN College and parents of some of the students fingered in the death of Sylvester of trying to subdue justice stressed that Nigerians and indeed the whole world are waiting for the outcome of the case.
As the remains of Sylvester, still in the morgue awaits coroner inquest, the family said they would continue to fight until justice is done.
