Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has handed over additional 27 vehicles to Operation Search and Flush Team of the State Police Command.
The government says the support is an effort to flush out criminals in the State and ensure adequate security during the upcoming elections.
Presenting the vehicles at the Government House Owerri, Uzodimma commended security agencies for their continued effort in tackling criminality in the state and. ensuring appropriate distribution of PVCs to the 27 local government councils
Governor Uzodmma since assumption of office as the governor of Imo state in January 2020 has continued to distribute vehicles and security gadgets to security Agencies in the state to assist in fighting crime
He had on 20th March 2020 donated the first set of 100 vehicles for operation search and flush.
Responding, commissioner for police Muhammad Bade says the vehicles will go along way in addressing security challenges in IMO state.
It is expected that the new vehicles will enhance the smooth operations towards curbing insecurity from the 27 local government councils of the state, especially during the election period.
