Tackling Insecurity: NSCDC boss harps on credible intelligence gathering

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC says, tackling insecurity will be effective if members of the public make it a responsibility to provide credible intelligence to security agencies to operate

Kogi State Commandant of the NSCDC, Oyinloye Kayode said this at the decoration ceremony of newly promoted officers and men of the command held at the command’s headquarters, Lokoja.

One hundred and seventy-five officers and men of the Kogi State command of the NSCDC were promoted recently by the corps, a development which brought family members and friends together for the official decoration.

Kogi State Commandant of the NSCDC, Oyinloye Kayode, who challenged the newly promoted officers and men to put in their best in securing the citizens, however, noted that their assignment will be more effective if members of the public volunteer credible intelligence to them.

Oyinloye told the officers that their elevation comes with additional responsibilities

Kogi State Sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Stephen Dawlung who was a guest at the event, emphasized the need for inter-agency collaboration.

The solemn event was attended by a delegation from the Nigerian Army Commands Records Lokoja, Immigration services, Road Safety Corps, Correctional Service, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the Police as well as family members of the promoted officers.
