Former AGF, Michael Aondoakaa

As the country celebrates over 20 years of democratic rule, a former Attorney General of Federation in Nigeria, Michael Aondoakaa has expressed deep concern over the country’s degenerating economic and security situations, urging Government at all levels to take more practical steps to improve on security and reduce extreme hunger.

Aondoakaa says those in power owe it a duty to try to reduce the hardship being faced by majority of the Nigerian populace under their watch.

The former Justice Minister was speaking on the event of his 62nd birthday anniversary which coincides with the Democracy Day commeration across the country.

Aondoakaa wants more efforts made to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people particularly those at the grassroots who he says are facing untold hardship.

While acknowledging the fact that the country has enjoyed stable democracy for 25 uninterrupted years, Micheal Aondokaa who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is calling for caution, urging that the current hunger and harsh economic situation be better managed to avert a revolt.
