Some members of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Taraba State have warned decampees from other political parties not to have any great expectations of picking tickets in the party’s primary elections.

The aggrieved APC members said they will not give any room for any form of distraction from new entrants who may have lost tickets in their previous political parties.

The two major contending political parties in Taraba State, APC and PDP have continued to witness defections of politicians from both sides.

While some of the defections were done openly, others have been underground.

The APC in Taraba State has received more decampees from the PDP, most of whom have fallen out with their former party.

But APC chieftains who said they built the party’s structure in the state from scratch have cautioned newcomers not to have any high hopes about securing the party’s tickets especially the Governorship ticket.

APC hopes to break the PDP’s winning streak of Governorship election in the State since 1999, and those who have been in the party are not prepared to share the benefits with new entrants into the party.

This was as APC in Taraba said it is not privy to any rotational arrangement by the PDP and will bring forth a governorship candidate, based on its own internal arrangement.
