Taraba State Governor Darius Ishaku has asked fleeing border community members on the Taraba/Benue boundary to return to their homes.
He says the state government has began deploying additional security personnel to the volatile areas to ensure the safety of residents.
Governor Darius Ishaku was in Chunku village for the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a military and police posts.

Chunku is a village in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.
It borders Taraba and Benue States, and is one of the several communities affected by the Jukun/Tiv boundary crisis.
Governor Ishaku charged the residents of the communities fleeing the crisis in Chunku to return home, as the construction of security posts implies the deployment of more security personnel to protect the area.
He also promised hybrid seedlings of different crops to the returnees, so that they can return to their farms.
Governor Darius Ishaku is optimistic that the set up of the security posts will sustain peace in both Taraba and Benue States.
