Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has inaugurated members of his State Executive Council, with majority of them youths, and experts in their portfolios.

Governor Kefas says the appointments are strategic, to bring in fresh perspectives, and revitalise governance in the state.

After scaling through the screening process in the Taraba State House of Assembly as Commissioner-nominees, it is a new dawn politically for the youths in Taraba State, as they make up the majority of the commissioners sworn into office, to make up the cabinet of Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas.

Aside from the 21 restructured ministries, an additional ministry of Waste Management and innovation was created, bringing the total number of government ministries in the state to 22.

In a similar development, Emmanuel Bello was appointed as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Digital Communications.

The Gym Hall of the Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo, the state capital, was filled with well-wishers, witnessing the swearing-in ceremony of the new commissioners.

Taraba State Governor Kefas reminded the new appointees of the task ahead, adding that their fresh perspective and expertise must be used to revitalise governance in the state.

He also said that the appointment further displays his administration’s path to gender equity and divergent opportunities for Youths in the state.

Governor Kefas tasks the new commissioners with a commitment to duty, taking significant steps towards achieving the collective aspirations of a government, and prioritising the welfare of the Taraba people.
